(Dilan arraigned on murder charge)…19 year old Paul Dilan had originally been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Guzman.

Investigators say the charge was changed to murder following a subsequent interview with a witness to the shooting. It is now being alleged Dilan deliberately shot Guzman in the head Monday with a 30-30 rifle. The suspect entered a not guilty plea at the arraignment. Superior Court Judge Christopher Yeager set the pretrial hearing for July 14. The preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 21. The suspect and the victim were allegedly smoking marijuana, drinking alcohol and sniffing paint fumes the night Guzman was shot at Dilan’s home.
