Minor Earthquakes Rattle Mexicali Valley PDF Print E-mail

Two minor earthquakes rattled the Mexicali Valley Monday. The first shaker measured 3.2 on the open-ended Richter Scale. It occurred at 11:08 Monday morning and was centered about 21 miles south southeast of Mexicali in Guadalupe Victoria , Baja California. The second minor quake occurred at 5:02 Monday afternoon and measured 3.3 on the Richter Scale. It was centered in the same area as the first quake. There were no reports of damage or injuries. The same area was the site of a series of earthquakes measuring up to 5.4 on the Richter Scale in February of this year.
