U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Calexico East port of entry intercepted over $100,000 worth of methamphetamine Tuesday. According to the CBP , a 1997 Jeep was referred to secondary inspection after the primary inspection offer noticed that the driver was nervous. In seconday inspection , a detector dog led officers to the Jeeps quarter panels where 11 wrapped packages were concealed. The packages contained 16 pounds of methamphetamine valued at over $100,000. The driver , a 20 year old Calexico resident , was arrested.
