Mendoza and Menvielle to take oath Friday

(Imperial Irrigation District schedules ceremony)….On Friday the District will conduct swearing in ceremonies. Newly re-elected Board members Stella Mendoza and John Pierre Menvielle will take the oath of office. The oath will be administered by Superior Court Commissioner Poli Flores. Mendoza and Menvielle will comment following the ceremony. The public will also be given the opportunity to comment. The ceremony will begin at 12:00 noon in Condit Auditorium on Broadway in El Centro. Mendoza won re-election in a November run-off with Michael Cox. Menvielle defeated Bruce Kuhn in June. Menvielle is the current President of the Board of Directors. His tenure as President will end in January when the Board reorganizes.
