(Mana de Imperial Valley is accepting nominations)…The local chapter of the National Latina Organization will recognize the Latinas at their fall gala. They are looking to honor women everybody can look up to as role models. The Latinas must embody the values and philosophy of Mana. Nomination applications are available at the Calexico Chamber of Commerce, Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo, at the El Centro Elementary School District Superintendents office, and on line at manaimperialvalley.org. The deadline to submit the applications is August 22. The Annual Las Primeras Gala will be held October 25 at the Old Eucalyptus School House near El Centro.
