Man steals a car after being released from jail

(A 19-year-old is back in jail)….Mario Gerardo Banales went back to the County Facility a day after he was let out. The 19-year-old had been serving time for possession of stolen property. He was released Thursday. Friday he was arrested on suspicion of stealing a car in Westmorland. Police say the vehicle owner apparently left the keys in the ignition. The temptation was reportedly too much. The car owner, from Whittier, California, reportedly reported the incident from a gas station at close to 2:30 Friday morning. The vehicle was spotted about an hour later in Brawley. The vehicle was stopped. Banales was found to be driving the vehicle. He was arrested and sent back to County Jail.
