(An Unidentified man runs out of luck)…Inspections at the Border Crossing going into Mexicali are reportedly random.

When a motorist drives up to the inspection station, they see either a Green light or a red light. The red light means they are subject to a physical inspection. Thursday an unidentified man drove up to the inspection station and received a red light. Officials say the man pulled his vehicle over for inspection, and seemed nervous. They say this warranted a more detailed inspection. The Mexican inspectors found a bunch of money. In a hidden compartment, the inspectors found bundles of money. The bundles were $50 and $100 bills, totaling $80,000. It is illegal to cross $10,000 or more into Mexico. The man could not explain where the money came from, telling inspectors he was just crossing from Calexico into Mexicali. He was arrested and the money was confiscated.
