(One week left before the nomination deadline)…Mana de Imperial Valley is accepting nomination of outstanding Latinas. The nominations will be considered for a 2008 Las Primeras Honoree. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday August 22. Las Primeras Honorees will be recognized at the annual Las Primeras Awards Gala on October 25, at the Old Eucalyptus School House near El Centro. Nomination forms are available at the Calexico Chamber of Commerce, Clinicas De Salud in Brawley and at the El Centro Elementary School District, Assistant Superintendents office.
