Jalisco en Calexico continues through Saturday

(The Mariachi Festival Sin Fronteras is continuing)….The weeklong Festival began Monday. The celebration is not only the 17^th Annual Mariachi Festival but also part of Calexico’s Centennial celebration. The theme this year is Jalisco en Calexico. Organizers say the Festival was turned into a weeklong event because of the collaboration of celebrations. Today the Centennial and Mariachi Festival Committees are holding their Kickback soiree at Applebee’s in Calexico. It will continue until 10:00 pm, and the public is invited to attend. Friday is the Feria de Tequila at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall. Saturday the Festival wraps up with the Mariachi Concert at Crummet Park. The concert features Mariachi Sol De Mexico, Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles and Los Reyes del Valle. Gates open Saturday at 5:00 pm. The Concert starts at 7:00 pm.
