(So far, it looks like another poor voter turn-out)….According to the latest numbers available from the County Elections Department, voter turnout for Tuesdays elections was 24.24 %. It was reported during the K X O election update that several absentee ballots remained to be counted. Wednesday morning the Elections Department would not say how ballots still needed to be counted, or if the number could change any of the results. The Department has 28 days after an election to file the totals. According to the numbers available, 12,879 ballots were counted. 4,200 of the ballots counted were mail ballots. There were 53,123 registered to vote in the June 3 election, over 17,000 requested mail ballots.
