| The Yuma Scorpions , playing as the vintage El Centro Imperials , will host the Chico Outlaws Wednesday , August 27, 2008 at Stark Field in El Centro. The Yuma baseball team has played four games of their Golden Baseball League schedule at the Imperial Valley venue. While playing in the Imperial Valley they have adopted the name El Centro Imperials , harking back to the 1950's when the Imperials were a semi-pro team in the region. Wednesday nights contest will be a fun-filled event with several themes. It will be "Noche de Beisbol ", "Back to School Night" and " Barn Yard Night". There will be music , food , give-aways , activities and a baseball game. Tickets are available at the El Centro Community Center or at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in free. Win 4 packs of passes to the game by listening to KXO AM1230 and FM107.5. |
