El Centro - Organizers of the Imperial Valley Renewable Energy Summit have announced the participation of several new regulatory affairs experts. The Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation's ( IVEDC'S) Renewable Energy Summit will be held April 17 and 18, 2008 at the Barbara Worth Resort in Holtville, California. The two-day event will feature a tour of various Imperial Valley renewable energy projects and a full-day panal discussion on topics that are relevant to the rnewable energy industry.Panalists will include Steve Rodgers of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Sean Gallagher with the California Public Utilities Commission and John Boyd from the California Energy Commission. Panalists are expected to discuss portfolio standards and their compliance, the permitting process and the division of interagency responsibilities as well as prospects for intergovernmental cooperation.
