(Imperial Irrigation to consider developing a plan with the County)…..The County is asking the Imperial Irrigation District to participate in the Development of the Mesquite Lake Industrial Park.

They want to District to help fund the infrastructure for the Park. At their meeting Tuesday the District Board will consider a request to work with the County to discuss the feasibility of providing up to $7.5 million over a 10 year period from the Fallowing mitigation funds, through the Local Entity, which was established by the water transfer agreement between the IID and the San Diego County Water Authority. The District says if the funding were to be approved, it would be contingent on a comprehensive infrastructure and economic stimulus business plan to be developed jointly by the County and the District that could then be presented to the District Board for action. Tuesday no funds would be approved. The District Board will only be considering entering into direct talks with the County.
