Immigration Conference to be held in Mexicali PDF Print E-mail

(U.S. Immigration to be discussed in Mexico)….The Conference will be held at the Autonomous University of Baja California in Mexicali on November 13 and 14.

 It is being co-sponsored by the UABC, the State College of Sociologists of Baja California and San Diego State University/ Imperial Valley Campus. It is the second bi-national Conference on Globalization and Im-Migration. The conference is the continuation of an earlier two-stage conference held in Mexicali in 2006 and at the University of California Riverside in 2007. Guest speakers include Alan Benjamin, editor of the bilingual newspaper The Organizer and Al Rojas the Front of Mexicans Abroad. Panel Discussions will include scholars and activists. The conference will be at UABC School of Social and Political Sciences on the corner of Avenida Monclova and Rio Mocorito in Mexicali.
