(Imperial Irrigation District Board meetings are on television)….Spectrum Advertising has apparently been awarded a $100,000 contract to televise the IID Board meetings held in El Centro. The meetings are to be aired live on Tuesday afternoons, and they will be repeated at some, as yet, undetermined date and time. The broadcasts will be on cable channel 75. The broadcasts are also on the web, at ivnewsday.com. The contract is reportedly part of the Boards new Governance policy to emphasize transparency, yet the agreement was never announced publicly. Spectrum had also offered to televise the Board of Supervisors weekly meetings, but the County decided against the expenditure. The contract with the District is for one year.
