(The Imperial Irrigation District agrees to help with the Sunbeam Lake Park renovation)….The renovation is a County project, but because of limited funds and time constraints on the funds available, they are asking for help in the form of donations and in-kind services.

 County Planning and Development Director Jurg Hueberger, who is spearheading the renovation project, approached the IID in June to ask for in-kind services. He asked the District to provide 400 amp underground service to a water pump plant,  600 amp underground service to the new ball fields and lights, and to remove overhead primary, transformer and poles. The District Board asked for cost estimates to determine how much in-kind service was being asked of them. Tuesday the issue was on the consent agenda, which was adopted unanimously with several other items. The total cost estimate comes to $71,214 for the 3 projects requested
