Firefighters battled a haystack fire near the Naval Air Facility El Centro. Imperial County firefighters responded to the blaze shortly after 6:00 Friday night. A second alarm brought engines and personnel from El Centro and NAF El Centro Firefighters expect to be on the scene through the night monitoring the blaze and keeping it from spreading.
