(The El Centro Graffiti team could use some help…from the victims)…..The El Centro Police Department says the Graffiti Team is hard at work, and their efforts are paying off. They could be more successful, if some of the victims would be more cooperative in the prosecution of suspected violators.

The latest arrest by the Team occurred Wednesday when 13 year old twins were taken into custody. As minors, the two suspects cannot be identified. The two were charged in four incidents of vandalism. They were booked into Juvenile Hall. One of the boys is charged with felonious vandalism and 2 misdemeanor counts. The other brother faces one misdemeanor count. Team officials say they are finding some victims don’t want prosecutions. They say this attitude is hampering a resolution to the graffiti problem in the city. Lt. Paul Longoria says convicted vandals are still being taken out to cover their Graffiti. He says any victim of Graffiti should contact the El Centro Police Department or call the Cities Redevelopment agency Graffiti hotline.
