(Border State Governors agree on a couple Declarations)….Ten United States and Mexican Governors met in Hollywood, California.

The Border State Governors Conference was hosted by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Governors and representatives from their States aired their concerns with border issues, and they actually agreed on a couple Declarations of Cooperation. One was to work with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to implement eTrace, a program that will help identify and bring to justice gun traffickers. Another Declaration was to work with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to reduce long lines at the Border Ports. Among the ideas is to work to support using any extra Government funds to pay for extra help to man the Ports.
