Gas gets more expensive in Mexico

(Gas prices increase in Mexico)…As prices begin to decrease in the United States, they are going the other way South of the Border. The increase goes into effect today. A spokesperson with the Association of Gas Stations says the increase is being called a Tax on Special Products. It was ordered to accommodate the increased cost to produce gas. The new price for Magna is now $7.60 pesos per liter, up from 7.57. The new price for premium is now 8.78 pesos per liter, an increase of 8 centavos per liter. The new increase is on top of a gradual 36-centavo increase that ended in July.
