Four fatals as vehicle crashes into a canal

(A vehicle full of illegal immigrants crashes into a canal)…The tragic incident occurred at around 11:15 Friday night. The vehicle was carrying 20 people, all suspected illegal immigrants was traveling along the Westside Main Canal bank. The vehicle apparently went out of control and crashed into the canal near Andre Road. Officials say the vehicle landed upside down in the canal. Deputy Coroner Sergeant Charles Lucas says four people in the vehicle suffered fatal injuries. It is unknown how many others were injured. At last report the California Highway Patrol was still investigating, and they were not releasing very much information. Lucas said an autopsy would be performed on the four fatal injury victims to determine what caused their deaths. The Sergeant said the four have been identified, but he cannot release their names until their families are notified.
