Four Calexico arrests could be only the beginning

(Calexico steps up local investigations)…Police Sergeant Gonzalo Gerardo Said Friday morning his department was stepping up investigations into local drug transactions. He said a six-month investigation culminated this week with the four arrests after three homes were raided. The Sergeant says this is only the beginning. He said the drugs confiscated in the 3 raids come from Mexicali and was destined to be sold on the local streets. The 4 arrested were identified as Susana Angelica Ruiz Guzman, Ivan Alberto Ruvalcaba, Rodrigo Orozca, and Carlos Moreno. Police confiscated methamphetamine, cocaine, cash, scales, 10 cell phones and a firearm. Four children were also found. They were turned over to family members. State and Federal agents assisted in the investigation. Gerardo says his department is continuing to investigate this incident and others.
