Four Arrested In Best Buy Burglary PDF Print E-mail

El Centro Police arrested four men and are looking for a fifth suspect in an early morning burglary at Best Buy.

Police responded to an alarm at the Best Buy Store at about 2:00 this morning. As officers arrived they set up a perimeter around the store with assistance from Imperial County Sheriffs deputies. Officer Steven Fisher saw two suspects leave the store with merchandise in their arms. When the suspects saw the law enforcement officers they ran back into the store. Outside the building officers arrested three other suspects, 18 year old Pablo Lllanes, 19 year old Mark Beltran and 21 year old Nathaniel Conant, all of El Centro.

While arresting the three suspects outside the store, the two suspects that had retreated into the store were able to escape and flee the scene.Officers were able to obtain the identities of the two from the three in custody and arrested 20 year old Jeremy Adams in the 800 block of Stacey Avenue at about 7:00 this morning. 18 year old Joseph Torres remains at large and is being sought by authorities.He is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall,143 pounds and has wavy brown hair and brown eyes.

The 4 suspects in custody were booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of burglary and criminal conspiricy. Police are looking into the possibility of some of the suspects being responsible for other commercial burlaries in the city. Sgt. Jeff Mason told KXO News, " Based upon their methods, target selection and statements made, we will be looking into tying this group to other burglaries." The merchandise taken this morning was recovered.,
