(Employees of a Heber farm Labor Contractor Charged)…Two foremen for Boss4 Packing in Heber have been charged with fraudulently misusing Social Security numbers in order to employ undocumented workers.

The charges were announced Thursday. Officials say 49-year-old Carlos Ramos Galdamez, a legal U.S. resident from El Salvador, was arrested at his Brawley home. They say 31-year-old Jouanni Francisco Perez Tinoco, an illegal migrant from Honduras, was arrested while working in the fields. Both face felony charges. In addition to the two Foremen, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested 32 undocumented workers for administrative immigration violations at various locations in and around Brawley. One of those arrested is a minor and was turned over to his parents. Twelve of the 32 are being held as material witnesses in an on-going criminal investigation. The rest were deported. On May 9 another Foreman for Boss4 Packing was arrested at his home. Francisco Zapot Palacios was indicted on charges of harboring illegal immigrants. The Heber based Packing company is not commenting on the situation.
