(Flash flooding result of thunderstorms)….A strong thunderstorm Sunday caused flash flooding in the desert.

The flash flooding was reported for about an hour in a 20-mile stretch of Highway 78, from Ocotillo Wells to Shelter Valley. The Highway Patrol removed some rocks from the roadway near Yaqui Pass Road, but other than that the Highway remained passable. The flash flooding was reported between 3:00 and 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon. No damage or injury was reported.
