(Good news and bad news from the Elections Department)…..First the good news.

Registrar of Voters Dolores Provincio says voter turnout from Tuesdays elections will probably turn out to be much higher than previously reported. According to the latest summary, turnout is at 39%, just a little above what was recorded in the June Primary. Provincio said when all is said and done she anticipates Voter Turnout to be closer to 50 %. Nowhere near the Turnout in the 2004 Presidential election of 60 %, but much higher than the last election. The bad news is, Provincio does not expect an unofficial final summary until after noon. It had been anticipated the final would be printed out by 10:00 this morning. The Registrar says human error erased the information, and the unofficial final summary had to be put together from scratch.
