(The FDA responds to reports of contamination of Infant Formula made in China)…The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has responded to reports of contaminated Milk-based Infant Formula manufactured in China.

In a Health Information Advisory, the FDA says it can assure the American Public there is no known contamination. They say all the requirements have been met to sell the Infant Formula in the United States. The FDA says they are investigating to find out if Chinese Manufactures are selling a different Formula to specialty markets that serve the Asian community. While the investigation is underway, the FDA is advising caregivers not to feed infant formula manufactured in China to infants. They say it should be replaced with formula manufactured in the United States.
