| The California Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that claimed a life Friday evening. The accident was reported at about 7:45 Friday eveing on eastbound Interstate 8 near Highway 186 in the Winterhaven area. Along with the CHP , Imperial County Sheriffs Office, Yuma based Rural Metro Fire Department and Imperial County Coroners Office responded to the scene. Traffic was blocked in both directions of the freeway for a brief time. |
