A traffic accident shortly after noon today resulted in a death. The accident , on Highway 86 at Brawley Avenue in the Salton City area , was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 12:06 PM. There were two vehicles involved and one fatality resulted from the accident. Emergency crews shut down the Highway for a brief time so that a helicopter could land to airlift the injured to local hospitals. The accident is still under investigation and no other information is available at this time. |
