(Farm Bureau announces new Board)…The over 30 member Board of Directors was announced at the Farm Bureau’s Annual Banquet Thursday. Don Brock gave a very entertaining slide presentation in announcing the new Board. Marl Osterkamp will serve another term as Farm Bureau Board President. The First Vice-President will be Mark McBroom. Don Emanueli has been named Second Vice-President. George Ray was named Treasurer. The Secretary is Manuel Castro. The Executive member at large is Tom Brundy. 24 were named as Board Members. The Annual Banquet was held at the Stockman’s Club in Brawley. Also during the Banquet, a couple auctions were held. A Live Auction and a silent Auction. Bo Shropshire was the Auctioneer for the Live Auction and it featured a variety of items, including Homemade Pies, A dove Hunting Trip and a fishing Trip to Loreto, Mexico. In all, the Live Auction brought in $12,700. It was not revealed how much the Silent Auction brought in. The Farm Bureau receives no subsidies, and is financed through benefits, donations and contributions. |
