Elections Department announces Deadline to register

(Deadline to register to vote in November election is in October)….The Imperial County Elections department says the deadline to register to vote for the November 4 Consolidated General Election is October 20. The last day to apply for a Vote By Mail Ballot is October 28. The ballot will feature candidates for President, Vice-President, 51^st Congressional District, 80^th Assembly District, as well as local candidates in various races around the County. The Ballot will have statewide propositions, and countywide proposition and Holtville voters will decide a proposed tax increase to help pay for their Police Department. The Elections Department is also recruiting Poll Workers for Election Day. Anyone can be a Poll Worker if they are registered to vote. Anyone interested should contact the Elections Department at 482-4201. Poll Workers will receive the training needed to perform their duties.
