The stars visited El Centro yesterday when a Hollywood film crew shot scenes for an upcoming theater release "Into the Wild" at the Old Post Office pavillion.

The movie stars Emile Hirsch as Chris McCandless..a young man who wandered the U.S. , Mexico and Canada as Alexander Supertramp. It's a true story that follows the journeys of the young McCandless. The movie also features Vince Vaughn and William Hurt. It is directed by Sean Penn. The Old Post Office was made to look like it was in Yuma as McCandless passed through that city on his trek. Crews will be filming in Algodones today and tomorrow and than return to the Valley in October to film in the Slabs.
