(El Centro Police looking for witnesses to last Saturday’s fatal incident)…..On April 5 eleven year old Christian Arturo Lopez was struck by a vehicle in the Area of Countryside and Clover in South El Centro.

Traffic Sergeant John Seaman says investigators are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the tragic incident. The boy was riding his bike at around 6:00 pm in the 300 block of Countryside when he was hit. He suffered fatal injuries. Seaman says anyone with any information should call him at 339-8991. The wake for the 11 year old was held Wednesday night at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Brighton. Hundreds of family, friends and companions from Kennedy Middle School. Christian was a sixth grader at Kennedy. An account has been set-up at Sun Community Federal Credit Union to assist the parents of Christian Lopez. Donations are being accepted in the account to help the family cover funeral expenses. Cecilia Luna will address questions or further information at 370-0978.
