El Centro man tries to elude police

(22-year-old in custody after police chase)…..It all started at around 3:00 Sunday morning. An El Centro police officer spotted Ronald Lee Fitzpatrick driving with no headlights. The officer attempted to pull the driver over, but Fitzpatrick fled. The officer pursued the suspect for a few blocks before employing a pursuit manuever to stop the vehicle. Fitzpatrick got out of his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. A struggle ensued, and the suspect was eventually arrested. Fitzpatrick was booked into County Jail, charged with felony evading arrest, driving with no license, possession of drug paraphernalia and two unspecified warrants.
