(25 year old dies from stab wounds)…Imperial County Sheriff’s Lt. George Moreno says Trini Verdusco of El Centro was at a party in the 500 block of Brewer Road when he was stabbed. Moreno says the party began Friday night. By early Saturday, a major fight broke out at the party. Moreno says Deputies were called, but by the time they arrived, most of those involved had fled. The Lt. says El Centro Regional Medical Center called the Department to report a stabbing victim was being treated. Moreno said when deputies arrived at the hospital they discovered the victim had been at the party. Verdusco died at the hospital. Moreno said one of the suspects who Verdusco to the hospital was easily identified as 26 year old Anthony George Ortega, a former employee at E C R M C. A second suspect, 28-year-old Juan Alonzo Estrada, was arrested after returning to the hospital for treatment while Sheriff’s investigators were at the facility. Both suspects are reportedly in County Jail charged as murder suspects. Moreno says the investigators are continuing to gather information in the incident. |
