El Centro man hit by a car Wednesday morning PDF Print E-mail

(A 72 year old man struck by a car early this morning)…El Centro Police Sergeant John Seaman says the incident occurred at just after 5:00 this (Wednesday) morning.

 Charles Trezise of El Centro was reportedly crossing Imperial Avenue at the intersection with Barbara Worth Drive when he was struck by a 2006 Dodge Charger. The vehicle was being driven by 53 year old John Wellcome from Brawley. The 72-year-old man suffered major injuries. He was flown to a San Diego area hospital for treatment. His condition is not known. Wellcome was not injured. The vehicle was damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Seaman says the incident is under investigation by the Police Department Traffic Unit. Imperial Avenue from Adams Avenue to Main Street was blocked off for over an hour as the incident was being investigated and personnel attended to the victim.
