El Centro - Fatal Accident on Forrester Road

Two trucks collided on Forrester Road just north of Evan Hewes Highway Monday afternoon at about 2:50. The California Highway Patrol reports the accident was a head-on collission on Forrester Road and resulted in fatal injuries to a person in one of the trucks. The accident caused the closure of Forrester Road from Aten to Evan Hewes Highway for some time Monday afternoon as traffic was detoured around the accident scene. Imperial County Sheriffs Deputies, County Fire personel and the County Coroners office responded to the scene as did the California Highway Patrol. Details remain sketchy as the accident is still under investigation and witnesses are questioned.
