El Centro - Early Morning Quake Shakes City PDF Print E-mail

A minor earthquake rattled El Centro at about 5:51 this morning. The temblor measured 3.0 on the Richter Scale. It was centered about 3 miles south southwest of El Centro. Residents reported that they heard the quake's boom and then felt the mild rumble. There are no reports of injuries or damage. The 3.0 was the strongest of about 10 earthquakes that has the same epicenter.
