El Centro Chamber elects new President

(The El Centro Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau has elected a new President)….The new President is Carroll Buckley. He will replace outgoing President Diane Cason. Buckley will take over as President for 2008-09 at an organizational meeting June 19. He is a co-owner and morning personality with K X O Radio. Buckley joined the Chamber in 2003 and has served as chair of the Membership Committee and as a member of the Executive, Economic Development and Special Events Committees. He is also an active member with the Kiwanis Club of El Centro. He served 13 years on the El Centro Regional Medical center Board of Trustees. Buckley says his goal as Chamber President is to continue the direction the Chamber has been moving. Providing the Chamber members, their businesses and all of Imperial Valley with the services and leadership necessary to be successful. He will be joined on the Executive Committee by President Elect Bill Dubois, with Phoenix Uniforms/Border Tactical; Vice President Allen Tyler of Tyler Insurance; Past President Diane Cason, Imperial Valley Enterprise Zone, Treasurer Gary Glud with Hutchinson and Bloodgood, LLP; and Aaron Popejoy with the Conveyor Group.
