El Centro, Ca. - Bank Robber PDF Print E-mail

An El Centro bank was robbed this afternoon. El Centro Police Sgt Jeff Mason told KXO News that at about 12:30 Monday afternoon police responded to a robbery at Community Valley Bank at State Street and Imperial Avenue. Responding officers determined that a lone robber had handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller complied with the demand and the robber fled the bank. Sgt. Mason described the robber as a white male about 75-years-old, 6 feet tall and weiging about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan bucket style hat, dark sunglasses, a faded brown t-shirt with Von Dutch in white letters on the front, gray knee length shorts and gray tennis shoes. . Mason added that there were no customers in the bank during the robbery and no one was injured. The El Centro Police Department is investigating the robbery in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
