(The Imperial Irrigation District should have two new management employees by the new year)…..IID officials say the District is still on track to have a new General Manager in Place by the New Year.

IID Board President Stella Mendoza says it is expected a new Energy Department Manager could be named by the first of the year, as well. The process to accept applications for the General Manager position closed on November 16. It has been said the District has received as many as 60 applications for the position. Mendoza said she was not sure how many had applied, but 60 could be an accurate number. Several names have been bandied about on those seeking the position, but nobody will confirm any of the names mentioned, including the current interim General Manager Michael Campbell. Mendoza says the list will be screened in December, and hopefully a selection can be made at the first of the year. She says 12-15 applications have been received from those seeking the Energy Department Manager position. That list will also be trimmed next month, with a possible hiring by January.
