(Customs and Border Protection is looking to hire over 130 officers)…..For the next two Fridays, the CBP will be holding hiring events at the One Stop in El Centro. The new officers are being recruited for the Imperial and San Diego County offices. It is part of National efforts to hire 1,100 officers by July 21. The local Job Fairs will be held at the El Centro One Stop Business and Employment Services Center, in Conference Rooms A and B, at 2695 South Fourth Street in El Centro. Because of the urgent need to hire officers for the Calexico Port, those who indicate an interest for being assigned to Calexico will have a greater probability of being referred and selected faster. The hours for both job fairs will be from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
