County plans big party for refurbished park

(Sunbeam Lake Dedication set)…The County spent millions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours to refurbish Sunbeam Lake Park. The work is done, and now they are ready to show it off. They will do that with a dedication ceremony on October 11. The Ceremony will be a fun filled event for the whole family. It will run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the actual Dedication Ceremony at 10:00 am. The Festivities include food and drink, dance groups, Little League Exhibition game, BMX exhibition, Sunrunner’s Car Club exhibit, Jet Ski exhibition, Skating exhibition, Fire Department exhibition, Informational booths, and a Kids Corner featuring bouncers, petting zoo, kids playground, children’s train, and swimming lagoon. The event will be broadcast live on K X O Radio. Admission is free, and all of Imperial County is invited to attend.
