Communty Campouts set for October

(Community Campouts being planned)…There will be three Community Campouts October 18 & 19. Participants can sign-up now. They will be Camping with the Stars at Warne Field in Brawley. It will be Camp Conquistador at Ward Field in Calexico, and Camp Karaoke at Simpson/Shimamoto Field in Imperial. The purpose of the Campouts is to bring Imperial County Communities together to raise funds in support of Cancer Research Center of the Desert programs. The programs are designed to serve those diagnosed with cancer and their families. They will also serve to celebrate conquering cancer one person at a time. Cancer survivors can register for receptions at any of the three events. Participants are encouraged to form teams and raise funds. Call Maria Conley at 353-6571.
