(OOPS)….El Centro Police held a press conference late Tuesday morning to announce the arrest of Cesar Moreno. By that afternoon the charges were dropped against the 18 year old. Police had alerted the public to be on the lookout for Moreno, saying he was sought for attempted kidnapping and two incidents of indecent exposure. The El Centro Department contacted the U.S. Marshall’s Violent Crime Task Force, and the suspect was tracked down to his home in Cathedral City. The Marshall’s arrested Moreno Monday night during a traffic stop near his home. Moreno was arrested on a warrant alleging attempted kidnapping and threats. He was brought to Imperial County and booked into the County Jail. Tuesday afternoon Judge Poli Flores dismissed the charges. Deputy District Attorney Karla Davis said they had new evidence that indicates Moreno may not be the correct suspect. El Centro Police say Moreno may still face charges of indecent exposure.
