(100 years of excellence)…That is the theme for Central Union High School’s centennial celebration.

The School District will mark its 100th birthday Saturday night on the C U H S Campus. Several alumni will be the honored guests. The include Scientist Robert Granados, class of 1955; Eugene Tubach, teacher and principal from 1953 to 1982; Judy Low, class of 1960; Doug Harvey, Major League Umpire, class of 1948; Winnie Desert, Board member from 1969 to 1977; Mary Ann Kline, teacher from 1953 to 1989. The Mistress of Ceremonies will be Haydee Rodriguez. Music provided by the C U H S Jazz Band and “Standing Room Only.” Current School and District officials will also be on hand. The Celebration will run from 6:00 to 10:00 Saturday nights. Tickets can be purchased from the Associated Student Body or at Clark Bakers on Main Street in El Centro.
