Calexico man murdered Sunday morning

(65-Year-old Calexico woman charged with murder)….Calexico Police arrested Amelia Encinas early Sunday morning. The 65 year reportedly ran to a neighbor’s house at around 1:30 Sunday morning and told them she had killed her boyfriend. The neighbors called the police. When officers arrived to the home in the 200 block of Birch, they found the body of 57-year-old Jorge Castro. Encinas was arrested and booked into County Jail. Her bail was set at $1 million. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. Investigators in the border city say they are still trying to determine a motive for the homicide.
