Calexico CSEA contract approved

(Calexico School Board accepts contract)….At their meeting Thursday, the Calexico Unified School District Board of Trustees accepted the CSEA chapter 399 contract, but the vote was not unanimous. The Board ratified the contract on a 3-2 vote, with Board President Eduardo Rivera and Board member Salvador Pacheco voting no. Members of the California Scholl Employees Association had ratified the pact overwhelmingly. While the new contract does not offer any salary increases, it does give the members an additional holiday. Next year the CSEA members will be celebrating the birthday of Cesar Chavez.
