Calexico classrooms to get facelift

(Calexico High school classes to be renovated)…The Calexico School Board agreed to the contract last week. Doblado Construction will do the work. The contract is for $6.7 million. The funds will come out of Measure J bond monies. Measure J is a $30 million bond approved by voters in 2004. The funds were used to construct Cesar Chavez Elementary School. The Measure j funds will pay for 40% of the renovation costs. The State is expected to pay the rest.
