(Calexico voters have a lot to decide)…..With the Presidential Elections a week away, Calexico voters will face a full ballot. The Border City ballot will have a lot of local issues, in addition to the Federal and State decisions. There will be seven candidates seeking two seats on the Calexico Unified School District Board. They include Gloria Romo, Enrique Alvarado, Ruben De La Rosa, Ruth Duarte, Esther Gomez, Walter Cress and Francisco Cardenas Jr. Four candidates are seeking three seats on the Heffernan Memorial Hospital District. They include Rosie Fernandez, Gloria Grijalva, Maria Camacho and Sugey Quesada. The Calexico voters will also decide countywide issues, as well. They include the race for Imperial Irrigation District Director, between Michael Cox and Stella Mendoza. Measure D is also on the County ballot. |
